Worship at St. Philip
At the heart of the life of St. Philip is our worship of God. Orthodox Christian worship is not simply something we attend; it is the way we enter into the life of Christ together as His Church.
Our worship is centered on the Divine Liturgy, where we gather as the Body of Christ to hear the Word of God, offer our prayers and thanksgiving, and receive the Holy Eucharist. Throughout the week, we also gather for services such as Matins and Vespers, joining our voices to the prayer of the Church.
For those who are new to Orthodox worship, much of what we do may be unfamiliar at first. You do not need to know the prayers or understand everything before you come. We invite you simply to come, observe, pray with us, and discover the beauty of Orthodox worship.
The Church’s worship also accompanies us through the important moments of our lives—from welcoming a new child, to marriage, to entering the fullness of life in Christ through Baptism and Chrismation.
We invite you to come and worship with us.
